Confluence Fort Collins is a multi-use building with 26 condominiums and additional commercial storefronts. It was completed in early 2020 and is located in downtown Fort Collins, at the heart of what was the namesake 1865 military fort.
5280 became involved with the project after another company had, unfortunately, installed the siding in a faulty manner. The backside of the product wasn’t properly stained, leaving it vulnerable to water damage. It would have rotted out within a year or two.
Our team came in to remove the faulty product and re-install correctly stained siding to meet the engineer’s specifications. The siding itself is a cedar tongue and groove. Cedar makes for beautiful siding, and with proper upkeep, it can be a beautiful, natural, and long-lasting exteriors option.
The building, developed by Saunders Commercial Development and designed by [au]workshop architects+urbanists, was designed with a material palette including weathering steel and concrete, wood, sandstone, and brick; giving it an unmistakeably Colorado feel. Perfect for the corner Linden and Willow Streets. As CSU alums, we take pride in Fort Collins and were proud to be a part of such a great and well thought out addition to the community.
Our team at 5280, understood the pressure the general contractor was under to make up for the lost time in the initial siding installation. So, we put a larger team on the job to help them make up time and complete the build as quickly as possible.
“As the owner, we’ve been extremely pleased with 5280’s great work and couldn’t be more excited to deliver this new project to the Fort Collins community.”
